Dice frame
Tap a dice square to add a dot, and tap a dot to take one away. The dots always make a dice pattern, so children can see five and a bit at a glance.
About this Hungarian dice frame
The Hungarian number frame shows numbers as dice patterns: up to five red dots on the left and up to five yellow dots on the right. Children quickly learn to see 7 as a five and a two, which builds number sense and quick recall of number bonds. This free interactive dice frame works on whiteboards, laptops and tablets. Add or take away dots, show a random number, switch to two frames for numbers to 20, hide the totals, or flash the frame for two seconds to practise subitising. In the match game, a number appears and children drag that many counters into the frame. A big tick shows when they have it right.
